There is no specific time when to buy bras for a young girl. A number of factors other than breast growth may influence the decision; peer pressure, self- esteem and family circumstances can all play a role in the purchase.
It is crucial that young girls are made aware as early as possible of the benefits of the correct sizing. Whilst the fitting of the first bra can be a very delicate subject we, at Bravado, are as sensitive as possible. The amount of support in a girls first bra is not as crucial is in an adults. However, some girls are developed enough to require adult sizes and we try and steer the purchase towards appropriate and versatile styles.
